Dubbo Sight-Seeing

After a tasty breakfast, we visit Old Dubbo Gaol, a state heritage listed and remarkably complete and intact gaol which operated for 119 years from 1847 to 1966. Our very own guide will take us around the gaol and share stories about the history of the site.

Then we visit Dundullimal Homestead, where, on arrival, we enjoy a tasty lunch in the café, followed by a special experience, stepping back in to rural life in the early colony. This afternoon we visit Red Earth Estate for a wine tasting accompanied by a cheese platter.

After the visit to Dundullimal Homestead, those staying at the Zoo in a Zoofari Lodge, will be dropped at the Zoo. Enjoy an African animals tour followed by wine tasting and a banquet dinner. Stay in an animal view Zoofari Lodge.

Day 4 – Wednesday 1 March 2017

Taronga Western Plains Zoo

This morning we visit Taronga Western Plains Zoo where we will have a Zoo guide board the coach to help us explore the circuit that meanders through natural bushland and around large, open-style exhibits. Following the guided tour, the day is yours to explore at leisure, taking in some of the many keeper talks and activities.

Those staying at the Zoo will have an early African animals feeding tour followed by a buffet breakfast. Check-out is at 10:00am. Load your suitcases on to the coach then join the rest of your group to explore the Zoo at your leisure.

We return to the motel late in the afternoon. (An earlier coach transfer to the motel is possible for those not wishing a full day at the Zoo.)
